The 150W/m² foil electric underfloor heating mat is designed to go directly under laminate, engineered wood, real wood and click vinyl floors. Its aluminium foil layer spreads heat evenly with no adhesive or screed, so you can lay your floating floor straight on top.
It must be laid on insulation, can be used in bathrooms and wet rooms, and has a 15 year warranty*.

Installation and compatibility
Lay the foil mat on 6mm Impact Plus insulation or 6, 10 or 20mm XPS boards (XPS under click vinyl), then lay your click flooring directly on top. To fit the room, cut and turn the foil backing, never the heating element. Control it with a floor-sensing electric thermostat.

*The 15 year warranty covers the original UFH Direct heating mat for as long as the first floor covering remains in place, when installed to our instructions. It is void if the mat is relocated, the floor is replaced or altered, or the system is modified or damaged after installation. Proof of purchase is required.
Frequently asked questions
Can the foil mat go straight onto concrete?
No. It must be installed on top of insulation, not directly onto a concrete or wood subfloor, to protect the heating and its warranty.
Can I use a foil heating mat in a bathroom?
Yes. Unlike film mats, this foil system can be installed in bathrooms and wet rooms.
