The 200W/m² electric underfloor heating mat is a pre-spaced heating cable on a 0.5m wide self-adhesive mesh, for laying under tile, stone and stuck-down vinyl or Karndean. The ultra thin 2mm dual-coated Teflon™ (PTFE) cable gives minimal floor build-up and a lifetime warranty*.
The higher 200W/m² output gives a faster warm-up, so it is ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, conservatories and other high heat loss areas.

Installation and compatibility
Lay the mat over a stable subfloor, ideally on insulation such as Backer Board PRO or XPS boards, then embed it in flexible tile adhesive or self-levelling compound before the final floor. For vinyl or Karndean, always embed in self-levelling compound first. Control it with a floor-sensing electric underfloor heating thermostat.

*The lifetime warranty covers the original UFH Direct heating product for as long as the first floor covering remains in place, when installed to our instructions. It is void if the product is relocated, the floor is replaced or altered, or the system is modified or damaged after installation. Proof of purchase is required.
Frequently asked questions
150W or 200W heating mat, which is better?
Both use a similar amount of energy. The 200W mat warms the floor faster and switches off sooner, so it suits high heat loss rooms like conservatories.
Can a 200W mat be the main heat source?
Yes, in domestic or commercial rooms, provided at least 80% of the floor is covered and suitable insulation is installed.
